The national electronic certification agency TUNTRUST has implemented the TN CEV 2D-Doc Visible Electronic Seal system for securing electronic and paper documents using a two-dimensional barcode (2D-Doc) incorporating the electronic signature of the issuer.

This solution seals key data contained in a document through an electronic signature made visible via a QR Code (two-dimensional barcode). A digest of the key data is calculated and then signed by the TN CEV 2D-Doc electronic seal certificate of the issuing entity. The key data and the signed digest are embedded in the QR Code affixed to the document as a Visible Electronic Seal to ensure the integrity and authenticity of your documents.

Verification of the TN CEV 2D-Doc Visible Electronic Seal is done through the free QR-Check application. This application allows reading of the Visible Electronic Seal affixed to a document using the camera of a mobile device. The information included in the seal is then extracted and must match the information on the document. The QR-Check application also verifies the validity of the electronic signature of the document's issuer to ensure the integrity of the data included in the Visible Electronic Seal.
